Grantley Hall wedding photographer

Grantley Hall has to be the most luxurious wedding venue in the North East. Situated outside Ripon in North Yorkshire, the Grantley Hall grounds, building and facilities are breathtakingly beautiful and make for some stunning wedding photography.

It was a pleasure to be Natasha & Luqman’s wedding photographer at Grantley Hall for their Autumnal wedding. And what a beautiful and exciting day they had planned!

We started by capturing some of Natasha’s preps in the beautifully furnished rooms at Grantley. Lots of fun and excitment as you would expect with four bridesmaids.

Luqman and his groomsmen were getting ready in a different part of the hotel so I also managed to sneak a bit of time to go and see them in the their room and also got outside with them for a bit of fresh air and few photos. Who can resist a photo in front of the main entrance - stunning!

After 20 minutes or so with the groomsmen it was back to the bridal party who were just putting the finishing touches to being ready. And how great did they look?!

It was a little walk through the hotel with the bridal party to the music room where the ceremony was being held. A time to compose a few thoughts ready for the big moment. The light in the music room was just gorgeous and when supplemented with just a little flash the photos looked like beautiful paintings.

And after a beautiful ceremony…… CONFETTI!

Time for some formal but fun and relaxed group shots of family and friends.

I never like to take a couple away from their friends and family for too long. After all you’re there to enjoy their company, not spend all day posing for photos. And really it’s not necessary. Just a 20 minute wander and chat is plenty to grab some beautiful wedding photos and couples often tell them they enjoy a brief break from the busyness of the day, and a little down time to be together for the first time as a married couple.

And of course, Grantley Hall offers a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos of just the two of you.

After our bit of chill time it was time for another grand entrance into their wedding breakfast and, after a few speeches, time to eat.

After the breakfast, a first dance to indoor fireworks. Then outside for outdoor fireworks! These looked amazing shooting up over the grounds of Grantley Hall.

Back Chat Brass, the band, really did set the party rolling with some great music to get everyone up on the floor.

And as the evening moved on it was time for the biggest surprise of the day. Once guests had moved down to Valeria’s nightclub down the in the basement (yes Grantley Hall has a nightclub too!) they were treated an unexpected Michael Jackson performance from the groom and groomsmen. And I have to say it both looked and sounded pretty impressive!
