Maternity photo session - Newcastle-upon-Tyne

This lovely couple wanted to capture their memories of their pregnancy for the future and have some stunning photos to look back on forever more.

They lived in Northumberland and at my suggestion they decided to book a night away at my favourite hotel close to Newcastle for their maternity photo shoot. I regularly use this hotel as a location for photo sessions as the rooms there are just stunning for both maternity and boudoir photos. If you don’t want to make a full night of it I can often get a room for a couple of hours at a reduced rate specifically for doing maternity photos.

They had arrange an early check-in so we had a couple of hours during the afternoon to take the photos while there was still daylight.

We’d previously chatted about the style of bump photos they wanted and I had asked them to google a few images and send them through to me as examples of maternity images they loved - often easier than trying to explain in words!

The photo shoot was very relaxed and fun. We chatted, grabbed a few bump photos, chatted a bit more, outfit change, a few more photos. You get the idea. The session lasted about one-and-a-half hours in total.

I was told they were pretty nervous before the shoot but said after that the way I worked the photo shoot had put them at their ease and they were able to chill and really enjoy once we got started.

A couple of days after this maternity photo session I delivered well over 100 stunning photos for them to download via their own online gallery. Needless to say they were delighted with them. Here are just a few images here that this couple were happy to share.
